Discovery and Diversity
This guest piano recital at Matthew's alma mater will feature the work of four Black composers, particularly featuring compositions themed around Biblical elements. Suites written by Margaret Bonds, Nathaniel Dett, James Lee III, and Matthew Kimbley will be presented.

A new work inspired by Gustav Holst’s “Christmas Day” will be performed by the Southern Adventist University Symphony Orchestra and Voices of Southern in a series of three performances in Collegedale, TN, and New York. Also featured on these programs is John Rutter’s Gloria, among other seasonal works.
